Stowe Archers Youth Archery Program

Stowe Archers operates a Youth Archery Program that is open to the general public. There is no charge for attending this program; however, donations to offset the program’s cost are greatly appreciated. The club provides Bows, Arrows, and Coaching to all attendees. The program is held on Monday evenings throughout the School Year. As a general rule, if the Pottstown School District is closed due to inclement weather, the Monday Night Youth Program will also be canceled for the evening.

  • 5:30 pm: Beginners and First-Time Archers
  • 6:30 pm: Intermediate Skill Level
  • 7:30 pm: Advanced Skill Level

Archers are welcome to supply their own equipment; however, it is subject to a safety inspection before shooting. Crossbows and Broadheads are not permitted on the Indoor Range. A parent or guardian must remain on the premises. For more information, please visit the Stowe Archers Youth Program Facebook Group.

Leagues at Stowe Archers

In addition to events throughout the year, Stowe Archers also hosts several leagues in the Winter and Summer months to encourage year-round shooting. Leagues are open to the public but registration is required due to limited space.

Winter Leagues

Stowe Archers maintains an active membership and holds indoor leagues throughout the winter months. Leagues begin the first week of January and end with a Shoot-Off in late March, Leagues include 450 League (World Archery 40cm Target Face Shot at 20 Yards) on Tuesday evenings, Winter 3D League (32 Shots on Rinehart 3D Targets) on Wednesday evenings, and Southeast PA Indoor 3D League (32 Shots on Rinehart 3D Targets) on Thursday evenings.

Leagues are open to non-members but registration is required due to limited space. All three leagues fill up fast. Anyone interested in participating in an Indoor Winter League is encouraged to sign-up at the clubhouse.

Summer Leagues

Stowe Archers maintains an active membership and holds outdoor leagues throughout the summer. Leagues begin the first week of April and end with a Shoot-Off in late June. Outdoor leagues are shot at your leisure, with scorecards being turned in during the prescribed week of shooting.

Outdoor Leagues include a 50 Meter League (World Archery 122cm Face Shot at 50 Meters) and a Field Archery League with NFAA Stations through the woods. Both leagues are open to non-members, but registration is required due to limited space. Anyone interested in an Outdoor Summer League can sign up at the clubhouse.

Join Stowe Archers

The Membership at Stowe Archers is open and accepting new members. All interested archers are encouraged to attend an event and experience what the club has to offer. Monthly Meetings are held on the 3rd Sunday of each month (except for July and August). Potential members are encouraged to attend.

Indoor Range

The Indoor Range at Stowe Archers is available to Members Year-Round and features a 16-lane Target Wall from Big Shot Targets. Shooting Lines are set up for 10 Yards, 20 Yards, and 27 Yards – although 20 Yards is most commonly used. There is ample space available to hang a bow as well as a Paper Tuner and Scale available on the range.

The Indoor Range is also equipped for Indoor 3D (Events Only – 3D Targets not available to the membership) and Tournament Style Target Shooting with Timer and Buzzer System.

Practice Range

The Practice Range is located behind the Clubhouse. Target distances are situated in 5 Yard Increments from 15 to 60 Yards. The practice range also includes 50 Meter stations for Tournament Practice and Leagues. The practice range is available to Members from dawn until dusk and to Non-Members during Events Only.

Field Course

Stowe Archers is one of the few clubs in the area that maintain an NFAA Field Course. It is split into two halves, each including 14 targets. The first starts next to the Practice Range (next to the storage container) and winds through the woods. It is easy walking and has a mix of short and long shots. The second half starts on the truck path (follow the truck path to the right of the clubhouse) and is moderately rugged with many elevation changes.

Both halves include station markers that identify a given round’s shooting locations and distances (Field, Hunter, and Animal).
